ninja morning

Heehee, i am feeling mouselike this morning. We have guests and everyone is all asleep. I'm naturally an early riser, so I've been up for about an hour now. :) I don't know why, but I find I really enjoy having to sneak around and try not to make any noise. Makes me feel like a ninja. :) I figure I'll be kind and polite till maybe 8:30, but after that the gloves are off. I can only be quiet for so long.
Had an awesome day at the lake yesterday. I'd never been all the way to applegate dam before. We always got sidetracked by Mckee bridge, which is a very nice swimming spot in and of itself. I can't belive i've been missing out on the lake all this time though. It was sooooo nice. The water was a ton warmer than any river I've ever been swimming in. The current was also almost nil, so you could just float around without having to worry about floating away. :) I used sunscreen but still ended up with a little bit of a burn. It's almost gone this morning.
I'm still on a quest for work. I figure I'll find something out there sooner or later. I'm trying to be a little bit picky though. I want something I'll enjoy working at for a long time. Least long enough for me to get my act together and get through a couple of years of school. Sometimes I can't believe I'm 24. =p Heh, well gotta buckle down and do the responsible thing some time eh?
Well, I'm off to start my day. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.

summer dance

Dancing slowly, her cheek against his shoulder, his arm around her waist, they waltz silently. The failing light of day shimmers golden through her hair, spilling down her tresses and warming her skin. It gilds his cheekbones and lips, leaving kisses of summer across the line of his jaw. His fingertips trace , featherlight, along the curve of her ear, slides his thumb across the satiny line of her collar bone. His hand finds rest at the base of her spine, and gently brings her closer. Her eyelashes flutter, silken sensation at his throat swept away when she sighs and settles into his embrace. The shadows of evening creep in, and they dance quietly on through the warm summer night.

night time

Soft Summer night
Warm air cooled to just barely stifling
How I detest the darkness
That has fallen over the world.
Give me instead, glowing sunshine
Let it Burn away the shadows of the Earth
And never set, but perhaps merely dip
Near the horizon.
Until this I shall have to bath my home
In the artifice of sunlight,
and wait impatiently for the morning hours to come.
